Keith Christopher grew up in New York, and from the young age of 7, knew that his hands were going to be in music. His three uncles, who were relatively close in age, were all DJs in New York City. With easy access to turntables and thousands of records at their home, Keith was able to experiment at a young age with the DJ equipment and various genres of music. After years of apprenticeship with his uncles, Keith finally branched out on his own at the age of 15 to be his own DJ. It was at this time that his family moved to Miami, Florida.
With a firm knowledge of so many genres of music, Keith was able to successfully host parties for his peers throughout high school and into college at Florida International University. After a short stint at Panther Radio at FIU, he expanded to local bars and clubs, playing everything from hip hop to reggae to house music. In order to get his name out, Keith began promoting for many local clubs in Miami, in order to network and learn more about the inner workings of the club scene in Miami. It was one of those jobs that brought out Keith’s affection for Electronic Dance Music (EDM), house music in particular.
Within a short period, and with great contacts in place, Keith began recording promos and playing house music in various venues in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. His sets have evolved from house to electro to tech to progressive, all in a never ending quest to keep his audience entertained and moving. His crowd pleasing sets have been heard in venues in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, Washington DC, and upcoming shows planned across the country in the upcoming year.
Keith played his first international show in 2014 at Rapsodia Lounge in San Jose, Costa Rica, and then returned to headline Club Vertigo, their largest club, and one of the most well known and respected in Central America. A quarterly residency is in the works in the region.
A winning contest submission at the end of 2014 earned Keith the right to play on The 2015 Groove Cruise – The World’s Largest Floating Dance Music Festival and he was able to spin along side such greats as Erick Morillo and Michael Woods!!
Keith hopes that the future will bring more opportunities to perform at various South Florida venues, as well as continuing to bring his brand of sound to other cities around the country and internationally. Music production is also in the works for the upcoming year. He is also a professional model who has appeared in various fashion and fitness publications, as well as TV commercials, and music videos. He is actively seeking representation in different markets.
